چکیده

The hierarchical macro-mesoporous silica (MMS) was used for a first time as support catalysts oxidation reactions. synthesized by the emulsions templating mechanism and modified separately or simultaneously using cobalt manganese oxides. obtained materials were characterized different physicochemical methods tested in of CO n-hexane combustion modification MMS does not change significantly mesopores characteristics; however, its pores are partially blocked For Co-MM sample agglomerates consisting Co3O4 with average size 100?150 nm small spherical aggregates, encapsulated formed. amorphous oxide preferentially fills up Mn-MM sample. Complete CO oxidation over Cu2O nanoparticles supported on silica gel.

We find that nearly monodisperse copper oxide nanoparticles prepared via the thermal decomposition of a Cu(I) precursor exhibit exceptional activity toward CO oxidation in CO/O2/N2 mixtures. Greater than 99.5% conversion of CO to CO2 could be achieved at temperatures less than 250 degrees C for over 12 h. In addition, the phase diagram and pathway for CO oxidation on Cu2O (100) is computed by a...

Mesoporous Silica Based Gold Catalysts: Novel Synthesis and Application in Catalytic Oxidation of CO and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)

Gold nanoparticles, particularly with the particle size of 2–5 nm, have attracted increasing research attention during the past decades due to their surprisingly high activity in CO and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) oxidation at low temperatures. In particular, CO oxidation below room temperature has been extensively studied on gold nanoparticles supported on several oxides (TiO2, Fe2O3, Ce...

Selective CO Oxidation over Au Supported On Mixed Oxides: Effect of Preparation on Activity and Selectivity

Au/CeLaOx mixed oxide catalysts containing 0.5 to 1.0 wt% Au were prepared via coprecipitation with HAuCl4, the appropriate nitrate precursors, and either urea or Na2CO3 as the precipitant. BET surface area measurements for the Au/CeLaOx catalysts varied in the range of 16-107 m/g depending on the precipitant, aging time, and calcination conditions. The catalysts were tested for the selective o...

CO oxidation on TiO2 supported gold catalysts

The aim within this project was to optimise the CO oxidation over TiO2 supported gold catalysts, focusing on two different preparation methods; deposition precipitation (DP) and photodeposition (PD), using different types of TiO2 and varying the theoretical gold loading. The catalyst were characterised with TEM (size) and ICP-AES (loading). For DP catalysts, the support is important for high ac...
